Grey Sisters Retreat Centre in Vancouver

This GREY SISTERS’ RETREAT CENTRE in Vancouver, BC is a very special place. It is conveniently located on the whole 6th floor of 4950 Heather Street (Youville Residence)—just across the street from the beautiful Queen Elizabeth Park—and right behind Holy Name Church on Cambie at 33rd Avenue.

The large rooftop patio allows one to sit and take in the magnificent panoramic view of North and West Vancouver with the three strong mountains as their backdrop. The comfortable, quiet bedrooms and the Blessed Sacrament chapel, enable retreatants to peacefully embrace the silence and courageously face the meaningful questions and challenges surrounding the joys and sorrows of life.

We offer, for women and men, silent directed retreat days, ongoing individual spiritual direction, various prayer groups, and days of prayer for small groups of 6 to 16 people. The Blessed Sacrament chapel is always inviting one to meet Jesus there and converse with, and listen to him, in a very special way

PROGRAMS

Along with special ‘days of prayer’ (Advent/Lent etc) and other spiritual days as advertised throughout the year, we offer:

'Silent, directed, retreat experiences’ of two to eight days for women and men -- any days of your choice as long as space is available.

Contemplative gatherings for prayer days or evenings…for groups of 6 to 16

Individual spiritual direction appointments for women and men

Centering prayer groups (weekly)

“At Home Retreat” experience (persons come weekly for guidance on prayer to be done at home)

30 day retreat experience, or Ignatian 19th Annotation (the 30 day Ignatian Retreat done at home throughout the year under guidance of a retreat director)
